When you measure for a new garage door, we need three things:
The width of the door opening.
The height of the door opening.
The height of the lowest obstruction above the garage door. This could be the ceiling itself, rafters, or anything else that would affect the track placement.
Once you have decided on a garage door and the deposit has been paid (check or ACH only), we will order the garage door(s). Creation and delivery of a garage door can take anywhere between 4 – 8 weeks depending on the manufacturer.
Occasionally, we are able to get doors that are already in-stock in in a warehouse within two weeks, but they are typically basic doors with limited design preferences.
The cost of garage doors are impacted by many factors, but a basic 9’ x 7’ sandwich door (insulated, steel on both sides) with no windows and a standard operator will cost around $2,600 installed and out the door (pun intended).
Factors that affect garage door price:
– Size (A 16’ x 8’ is more expensive than a 9’ x 8’)
– Insulation levels and door material (You will hear us talk about sandwich doors and R-Values a lot)
– Windows (Glass of any kind add significant cost to a garage door)
– Color and patterns
– Operator specs (Do you want a standard operator or are you wanting something with clickers, keypads, and WiFi?)
We can work with almost any budget, but we will only sell doors we know will be a good fit and a safe option for your home or business.
